"Find Freedom and Length In the
Chest"

This lesson can make you feel (or actually be) inches
taller- find the natural openness in the torso without trying to lift the chest
or pull the shoulders in (or any other postural instructions we or others give
ourselves)- Imagine the kind of chest we all had when we were three years old-
free belly, open chest, free breath, ahhh.
"Effortless Upright Sitting"

Lets face it, we all sit too much. The hours we logged in our childhood
desks, the times behind the wheel, in front of the screen...Well, this lesson
can help to make that sitting easier, less shlumpy- remember there is a frame
that you can rest on, its called a skeleton.

Free hip joints are essential for skillful, organized movement. For
many of us, we don't even know where they are, let alone if they are free of
tension. This lesson helps you to clarify your experience of the hip joint, and
free up the movement potential that is available.
"Intelligent Feet-Foot Movements On Belly"

This lesson helps to restore some of the movement repertoire that we
have lost in our feet and ankles. Like all Feldenkrais lessons, it will stretch
the brain more than the muscles. Recovering the coordinated movement of the foot
and ankle can greatly impact the health and function of the knees and hips.

Often our hands and wrists can carry huge amounts of invisible (or very visible)
tension. This lesson helps to release tension that has accumulated while
deepening the capacity for refined, coordinated movement. Because the hands have
so much representation in our sensory motor cortex, releasing tension and

An average adult uses only a small fraction of her breath capacity- what would
it be like to have a car that could only have 1 gallon of gas in a 10 gallon
tank? This lesson explores where we can release the muscular holding that
prevents a complete, nourishing breath.
